Sunday Ratings: Weekend Win for ABC

If it hadn’t been the first official Sunday of sweeps, last night would have been considered a fairly uneventful. ABC’s lineup took the oh-so-important demos while CBS won a narrow contest with the viewers.

Sunday Ratings: Fond Farewell for Desperate Housewife

She might not be Miss USA, but Nicollette Sheridan is still a winner. Last night’s goodbye to Edie Britt was Sunday’s most-watched event. The farewell helped ABC take first place in both the viewers and the demos yesterday.

Sunday Ratings: Music Awards Has CBS Singing

Either country music is in its prime, or viewers weren’t interested in a Housewives repeat. Whatever the reason, the ACMAs were hot last night. Yesterday’s broadcast had its best demos since 2005 and its largest audience in 11 years.

Sunday Ratings: Family Guy Beams Up the Numbers

FOX might not have been last night’s winning network (that title belongs to CBS), but it wasn’t due to lack of trying. Yesterday’s Family Guy episode drew a fair number of Trekkies and the best demos of the evening.

Sunday Ratings: Weekend Ends with a CBS Win

Couple a basketball tournament overrun with a President Obama interview and what do you get? A nice way to start the evening for CBS. Despite hot competition from Desperate Housewives, the Eye network won both the viewers and the demos last night.

Sunday Ratings: Kings is No Ratings Ruler

One of these evenings NBC will get it right. Just days after witnessing a painful debut by The Chopping Block, the network did it again. Yesterday’s premiere of Kings failed to deliver any power to the Sunday night lineup. CBS wound up winning the viewers while ABC topped the demos.

Sunday Ratings: Celebrity Apprentice Pales Against Housewives

Looks like the economy isn’t the only thing Donald Trump should be worrying about. Despite a solid debut, The Celebrity Apprentice was served a cold dose of reality this week. When pitted against Sunday night regulars (Desperate Housewives, Cold Case), the reality hit showed signs of weakening. NBC’s performance helped CBS win the viewers while ABC took the demos.

Sunday Ratings: Two-Hour Events Dominate Evening

Last night, viewers had a mixed bag of celebrities to choose from. On ABC, we had a special Brothers & Sisters event. On NBC, the two-hour premiere of Celebrity Apprentice. On CBS, the return of Tom Selleck. So who won out? Although the Eye network attracted the largest audience, the Alphabet network had the demos that mattered.
